29 Arrested After Drug and Weapon Violations in San Bernardino
San Bernardino, CA: The week of January 13–19 in the Inland Empire saw 29 people arrested for drug and gun crimes, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators from the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, the Specialized Enforcement Division, and several patrol stations, as well as those from the California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations, kept up Operation Consequences’ targeted efforts to stop crime.
Colton, Hesperia, Lucerne Valley, Yucaipa, Highland, Calimesa, San Bernardino, Moreno Valley, Victorville, Running Springs, and Adelanto all had 19 search warrants served on them. Investigators talked to gang members and people who aren’t supposed to have guns during those calls.
Investigators took 102 guns, 18 of which were “ghost guns.” There were more than 55 pounds of drugs found, including more than 50 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and almost 5 pounds of suspected cocaine.
