27 Arrested after Undercover Cops Busted Human Trafficking Ring in Sacramento; One offered Chicken Sandwich in exchange for Teen Girl
Sacramento, CA: Authorities in Sacramento County said that 27 individuals had been apprehended as a consequence of an investigation into human trafficking.
The arrests were made on March 22 during an operation by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office’s special investigations department that targeted sex purchasers, according to the agency.
Buyers allegedly bargained with undercover deputies for cash, narcotics, and even a chicken sandwich during several of the arrests, according to the sheriff’s office.
A commercial big rig driver and a parolee with a history of child molestation conviction were among those taken into custody. The operation resulted in the towing of twenty-two vehicles.
