23-Year-Old Died in a Crash Early Christmas Morning

A 23-year-old South Brunswick man lost his life in a single-vehicle collision on Route 1 early on Christmas Eve morning, according to South Brunswick Police.

At 12:53 AM, a crash was reported on Route 1 south along New Road. The man was traveling south on Route 1 in a 2012 Honda Accord.

Witnesses said the man lost control of his vehicle while traveling in the left lane, slid sideways across the road, and collided with a utility. The man passed away right there.

The Middlesex County Medical Examiner, Kendall Park Fire Department, New Jersey State Department of Transportation, and Kendall Park First Aid responded after the crash.

The investigation involved many hours of the closure of Route 1 South.
