IKEA and Swedish House Mafia, two titans of Scandinavian culture, are collaborating on a collection of music-inspired furniture and homeware.

Under the influence of the house music trio, IKEA’s iconic Frakta bag looks a little different. The beloved blue carryall is now black, devoid of any and all color (did it start shopping at Hot Topic?), and sized to fit up to 100 vinyl records. Further “remixing” the famous shopper, the musicians worked with the homegoods giant to design a carrier for cables, cords, and other electronic music accessories, as well as a crossbody bag for headphones and a laptop.

According to a press release, IKEA and Swedish House Mafia will unveil the rest of the collection — including over 20 furniture pieces and “smart home furnishing solutions” — during Milan Design Week before hitting stores in September.

IKEA never falters on the collaboration front. To jog your memory, the company recently worked with Daniel Arsham on a “flying” clock, the late Virgil Abloh on that famous “Wet Grass” rug (among other statement pieces), and Sonos on speakers that double as shelves.

And don’t forget Balenciaga’s $2,145 IKEA-blue shopping bag — not an official collaboration with the homeware emporium, but a release that pushed IKEA to issue a cheeky response all the same.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low has been an integral part in the brand’s ascension to sportswear stardom over the last few decades. As Bruce Kilgore’s original design celebrates its 40th anniversary, the low-top-variant – which debuted a year later in 1983 – continues to expand an already-expansive roster of styles.

Unofficially dubbed the “82” theme, a pair recently surfaced with up-cycled materials and nods to the sneaker’s inaugural year. An off-white, “Sail”-reminiscent hue takes over much of the upper, which features dual stacked profile swooshes; a “Rust” hue animates the bottom logo and introduces suede into the mix. Elsewhere, the Air Force 1 dons non-standard branding, likely prompted by the “82” theme – which is referenced via the tongue label – and the sneaker’s Next Nature design ethos (Next Nature is a series of products that uses at least 20% recycled materials). Down below, the oft-imitated sole unit keeps things relatively simple, although the made-for-basketball tread seemingly boasts a cork build that further contributes to the pair’s eco-consciousness.

No firm Nike.com release details have been confirmed by the brand, but that’s likely to change as summer gets going. As you wait, enjoy official images of the shoes ahead.

Over the last few months, the Nike Sportswear team has unveiled several of its propositions in fruit-related ensembles. The latest?: A Nike Air Max 90 inspired by the blood orange.

Akin to other summertime offerings from the Swoosh, the newly-surfaced pair indulges in a predominantly “colorless” look across its leather, mesh and TPU construction. “Black” contrast enters the mix via the profile swooshes, inner-lining and details on the spine, while the majority of supporting components (i.e. eye-stays, logos) revel to an eye-catching, on-theme “Blood Orange” hue. Air Max units underfoot also revel in the fruit-related flair, with sock-liners featuring the most direct nod to the citrus family member.
