An aesthetic reset of sorts, the adidas Y-3 Kaiwa‘s latest colorway is neither loud nor innovative. Rather, it’s a return to basics, effectively starting the year off with a blank slate.

Unlike the silhouette’s last appearance in August of last year, which saw the shoe dressed in “Semi Frozen Yellow,” this pair features a classic “Core Black.” The neutral is applied to both the upper’s many premium materials, such as the tumbled leather, suedes, and adjacent synthetics. Along the midsole, the distended molds tonally follow suit, masking even the “Yohji Yamamoto” branding debossed atop. Noticeable deviation comes by way of the rest of the bottom and heel tab, which proffer a light cream and white finish, respectively.

For a closer look, check out the imagery below. Currently, sizes are making their way to select retailers, with other reporting a January 15th release. For links to every one as they become available, see the store list below.

In other news, the Air Jordan 4 Red Thunder also drops tomorrow.

Sean Wotherspoon and Adidas keep their sneaker collaborations coming, this time updating a retro silhouette from the sportswear brand.

Newly leaked imagery shared by @Futurevvorld on Instagram shows a first look at the Sean Wotherspoon x Adidas EQT 93 “Superearth.” The series of photos show at least two iterations of the collab as well as revealing that mesh and Cordura fabric cover the upper. The shoe also features toggle shoelaces that are equipped with bracelet-like beads that spell out “Love,” “Peace,” and “Superearth”

Wotherspoon’s prior collabs with the Three Stripes include two iterations of the Superearth Superstar, the ZX 8000 Superearth and the recently-released Superturf Aventure.

Despite the early look, official release details of the Sean Wotherspoon x Adidas EQT 93 have yet to be announced by Wotherspoon or Adidas, but we’ll keep you updated with additional info as they become available.

Undoubtedly one of the NBA’s biggest sneakerheads, PJ Tucker is soon to receive his very own Converse Pro Leather Hi. And before it sees a wider release at Converse.com and select retailers, the sneaker will be offered through a Miami pop-up and The Better Generation App.

Dubbed “OUT THA MUD,” the collaboration celebrates Tucker’s many years of hard work, and is effectively the culmination of his 36 years on this Earth. Though the colorway itself is simple, relying mostly on grey and white neutrals, it packs nods to the power forward’s career. Across the left and right tongue, for example, the branding is dressed in a light blue and burnt orange, respectively nodding to his dreams of playing for the UNC and the fate that led him to the University of Texas. What’s more, the side is debossed with “OTM,” an abbreviation of the aforementioned theme.

This Saturday, January 22nd, a pop-up release will take place in Miami. The day after, January 23rd, you’ll be able to purchase the Pro Leather Hi via the TBG app exclusively; 17 pairs will be signed by PJ Tucker himself. Come a week later on January 28th, we’ll see a wider drop through Footlocker.com and Converse.com.

In other news, images of the Air Jordan 11 Low 72-10 have surfaced.

First Look At The Air Jordan 11 Low “72-10”

Teased way back in September 2021, the Air Jordan 11 Low “72-10” rears its head for the first time as leaked images of the upcoming April 2022 release emerges. With low-top Air Jordan 11s in full effect every Summer season, Jordan Brand has prepared the popular lifestyle model by recalling the Air Jordan 11 “72-10” release from 2015. Ditching the traditional patent leather that typically adorns the silhouette, the 72-10 iteration introduced a glossy exterior paired up with a premium leather, and it’s now transformed into the summer-friendly option for 2022.

A first look at the Air Jordan 11 Low “72-10” reveals much of the same set of aforementioned detailing, including the milky white opaque sole. The Jumpman logo at the heel isn’t quite the metallic finish you expected, but rather a plastic application that achieves the separation from other 11 Low models. And while these are hardly an OG colorway, the 72-10 has still managed to win the hearts of Jordan purists – and the Low is poised to do the same.

See a first look at the Air Jordan 11 Low “72-10” below and stay tuned for updates as we near the April 23rd release date. For now, check out the latest updates to our Jordan release dates 2022 preview.
