Dior’s $5k Baby Stroller Has Four-Wheel Drive & Leather Trim

Baby Dior‘s new stroller makes parenthood look chicer than ever.

Fit for the spawn of billionaires, influencers, and billionaire influencers, the ultra-luxe contraption is like the Rolls Royce of strollers.

For $4,800, a slim subsection of the world’s infant population can experience the smoothest, most stylish ride of their life in Dior’s four-wheeled buggy, made in partnership with baby brand Inglesina.

Dior introduced its first luxe stroller in 2020. Also made in collaboration with Inglesina, the pram was printed with another iconic motif: Dior’s Oblique monogram.

Complete with Dior-branded wheels and a leather handlebar, the brand new unit is outfitted with a canvas hood and basket rendered in the French maison’s Toile de Jouy print, a signature motif applied to plenty of hero accessories including the Saddle, Book, and Lady bag.

The original logomania’d carriage even made an appearance on Cardi B‘s Instagram earlier this month. Clearly, the “WAP” rapper is only treating her infant son to the best — and coordinating her ‘fits with her kid’s transportation while she’s at it.

Cardi B isn’t the only celebrity to treat her child to a luxury ride, though.

Back in 2018, the one and only Kylie Jenner took little Stormi (only two months old at the time), for a walk in a Fendi Zucca-printed stroller. (Perhaps she’ll show off Dior’s Toile de Jouy pusher with her second child, whom she may or may not have given birth to already.)

Influencer Chiara Ferragni stepped out with the same Fendi Zucca stroller, cementing OTT baby gear as an aspirational essential.

Other luxury labels that have made their mark on the humble stroller: Versace and Jeremy Scott (his has metallic wings, obviously).

Anything for our wrinkly, big-headed offspring!

JW Anderson AW22 is a Party You Don’t Want to Miss

Brand: JW Anderson

Season: Men’s Fall/Winter 2022 and Women’s Pre-Fall 2022

Editor’s Notes: Let’s face it – some parties aren’t to be missed. Sure, sometimes FOMO gets the best of us, and we end up staying three hours too late to a motive we could have just easily gone without, but where’s the fun in not knowing? For Men’s Fall/Winter 2022 and Women’s Pre-Fall 2022, JW Anderson invites you to the parties that never were and the parties that will be.

You can’t have JWA without a splash of flair – it’s unheard of. From the shirts that will make you the center of attention to strawberry-covered knitwear and penis purses, the brand is fun; and apologetically so.

If AW22 and PF22 are to be the parties, Milan Fashion Week was the invite.

Despite being two gender-defined offerings, as remains the norm in the fashion industry, have been designed to askew the barriers of gender and taste through a celebration of hedonistic desire.

What does that mean, though? It’s the sharing of looks between men and women, an interchangeable wardrobe that’s about dressing up and showing out from both collections.

Far from tame, the parallel collections come complete with sequin leggings and tops, polos, metallic all in ones that feel like a time 80s capsule; the fabrications are mixed, outerwear shapes are nonsensical, and full looks feel like professional DIYs. It’s clothing made up of an amalgamation of moments and memories, which is, in three words, completely mental fun.

What gives both collections such a thrill, an added layer of excitement that often feels like fashion weeks are missing, is the complete pickin’ mix of ideas – why leave a graphic print polo bland when you can drown it in sequins and pair of with a miniskirt?

A littering of colorful animal graphics, ducks, orange and blue elephants across polo neck dresses, and oversized puffer jackets, and you’ve got the greatest party you’ve never been to. At this point, I’m pretty much begging for the invite. Please, JWA.

1017 ALYX 9SM Hits a Home Run For FW22

Ahead of the 1017 ALYX 9SM show in Milan, Matthew Williams took to Instagram to tease a few pieces from the anticipated Fall/Winter 2022 collection.

Among the pieces shown were a pair of rubber shoes that are somewhere between the Yeezy Foam Runner and Williams’ bold Mallow Wedge Givenchy shoe, injected with polymer and featuring an ergonomic upper, as well as a new pair of sneakers that could easily become ALYX’s most popular silhouette thus far.

Staying true to the label’s utilitarian aesthetic, the collection plays with a range of materials including leather, mesh, and the newly introduced shearling. Looking to the future, some of the shearling pieces have also been crafted to be reversible, allowing for flexibility in wear as well as a wider usage – an important move for the brand when it comes to sustainability.

The apparel juxtaposes sleek cuts with raw hems and stitching, combining colorful PVC materials with knitwear, but staying true to the label’s idea of uniform.

As for accessories, the 1017 ALYX 9SM signature rollercoaster buckle makes its way onto several pieces, including a bucket hat, and square leather bags reign supreme. Sporty glasses with a thick plastic frame are also in focus, alongside Williams’ own take on the Tabi shoe, which lands somewhere between a flip-flop and a mule.

All-in-all, the collection dubbed “FADE,” combines everything we love about 1017 ALYX 9SM. The experimentation with new materials and futuristic shapes is a welcomed addition to the brand, and we’re already counting down until the shoes hit shelves this fall.

Valentine’s Day is very nearly here, and it’ll surely creep on you before you’ve made all the necessary preparations. But unlike most people, Nike was quick to start, dressing up many of their shoes in appropriate clothing. This GTS 97 is but the newest of many upcomers, offering lace-like detailing through its profile.

The shoe’s embroidery, which simulates the aforementioned material, depicts a number of romantic motifs. Hearts and roses are spread throughout, their threads raised against a canvas backdrop similar in shade. And this upper, though straightforward at a glance, is made of a textile that can easily be customized, whether that be with dyes, markers, or the like.

For a closer look at this GTS 97, check out the official images below. A release is likely to hit and select retailers on January 21st.
