Over the last two months, NIKE, Inc. has teased dozens of new styles of its Nike Air Force 1 in anticipate of the model’s 40th anniversary. And alongside high-profile collaborations and expansive in-line collections, Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design will undergo revolutionary changes like that proposed by the women’s PLT.AF.ORM iteration.

A cheeky way of referencing the model’s platform sole unit and “Air Force” (A.F.) name, the newly-surfaced pair builds upon the women’s-exclusive propositions that the Swoosh has been delivering over the last several years. At quick glance, the sneaker is unquestionably an Air Force 1, but closer inspection of the upper reveals some experimentation. Yet, the misplaced, double swooshes up-top are unquestionably overshadowed by the exaggerated midsole unit underfoot: chunky tooling makes a statement on its own, but begins to split from mid-foot to heel, literally and visually taking Kilgore’s made-for-basketball design to new heights.

Enjoy official images of the women’s model in an all-“White” colorway here below, and anticipate a Nike.com launch soon.

In related sneaker news, the Swoosh recently introduced the Nike Waffle Debut to its lineup.

Hits Of Vibrant Red Animate This Stealthy Nike Air Max 95 Ahead Of Valentine’s Day

Although NIKE, Inc. hasn’t disclosed an official collection prepped for Valentine’s Day 2022, several of its sneakers have recently appeared in colorways appropriate for the February 14th event. Case in point?: A newly-surfaced Nike Air Max 95 clad in black, grey and red.

Akin to other stealthy iterations of Sergio Lozano’s 1995 design, the upcoming sneakers engulf their leather, mesh and nubuck upper in a pitch-dark tone that allows supporting hues to revel in the spotlight. Lace loops interrupt the near-uniform look with their iron grey-reminiscent makeup, but their boldness pales when compared to the branding at the top of the tongue and lateral heel. “airmax” text on the top of the tongue maintains their standard design, but swoosh emblems on the lateral sidewall take on a three-dimensional “jewel” construction, a style that’s recently appeared on a number of Air Force 1 Mid pairs. Down below, visible Airbags and “NIKE AIR” messaging on the outsole also indulge in ruby-colored style, while accompanying foam at the midsole keep things muted in grey. Nevertheless, all aforementioned colors help create a fresh option for any Valentine’s Day plans.

Enjoy official images of the pair here below, and anticipate a Nike.com launch in the coming weeks.

Berghaus Gets a GORE-TEX Upgrade With BRGHS//2.22

There’s no doubting Berghaus‘ knowledge of the outdoors; it’s one of the OGs, but with BRGHS//2.22 it’s getting a GORE-TEX-equipped, city-ready boost.

If you’re from the UK, chances are, you’re familiar with Berghaus in one shape or form. It could be that your secondary school Geography teacher swore by the brand, a parent keeps one tucked in the boot for those windy Tesco stints, or your mate skimmed a couple off Depop for Parklife.

Though I cannot claim to be any sort of expert like the brand’s founders, Peter Lockey and Gordon Davison, who founded it back in the 60s, it was a household name throughout my teens, long before Arc’teryx.

Now, it’s taking a leaf from Helly Hansen’s HH-118389225 handbook – stripping back on vowels and consonants, showing numbers some love, and redefining where outdoor exploration meets traversing cityscapes.

BRGHS//2.22 is an observation and exploration of city-living, an application of the tools needed for summiting peaks to finding a city-ready aesthetic with protective capabilities. Broken down to its core, the collection blends high-performance, all-weather gear with contemporary silhouettes and functional details.

A range of outerwear pieces has been developed with the needs of the city commute in mind. Of course, GORE-TEX and Primaloft are welcomed boosts to each of these shapes, offering water protection and warmth without a sacrifice on style.

Styles, such as the men’s Pygar Jacket and Agorax Long GTX Jacket, and women’s Neilen Long Jacket sit alongside a concise range of apparel spanning t-shirts and fleecing; have been crafted in an easy-wearing palette of white, black, and grey.

The Berghaus BRGHS//2.22 collection is available to shop online now.
