NSBA Letter Targeting Parents as ‘Domestic Terrorists’ Allegedly Requested by Biden Ed Secretary Cardona

Emails obtained via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request allege Education Secretary Miguel Cardona solicited the letter from National School Boards Association (NSBA) officials to President Joe Biden that targeted parents voicing concerns about education issues as potential “domestic terrorists.”

The emails, obtained by Parents Defending Education (PDE), allegedly reveal the White House was already “actively engaged” with NSBA President Viola Garcia and interim CEO Chip Slaven prior to the group’s letter to Biden.

New FOIA document obtained by Parents Defending Education asserts NSBA letter was drafted at request of Education Secretary.

🔥BREAKING. @DefendingEd just got this via FOIA: In Oct. 5 email, @NSBAPublicEd Sec-Treasurer Kristi Swett said NSBA chief Chip Slaven “told the officers he was writing a letter to provide information to the White House, from a request by Secretary Cardona.” Yes, @SecCardona. pic.twitter.com/Gnc4YxkRiL

“Should this allegation be true, it would reveal that this administration’s pretextual war on parents came from the highest levels,” PDE President Nicole Neily said, as reported by Fox News Digital Tuesday.

The newly obtained documents appear to show an email exchange between NSBA board members Marnie Maldonado and Secretary-Treasurer Kristi Swett, dated October 5-6, 2021, in which Swett asserted Slaven “told the officers he was writing a letter to provide information to the White House, from a request by Secretary Cordona.”

The emails are revealed as the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Tuesday it is establishing a new domestic terrorism unit to combat a perceived domestic terrorism threat, CNN reported.

“We face an elevated threat from domestic violent extremists – that is, individuals in the United States who seek to commit violent criminal acts in furtherance of domestic social or political goals,” Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen told members of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Olsen said DOJ had formed a new unit with attorneys dedicated to domestic terrorism threats, investigations into which, he said, have more than doubled since March 2020.

He added:

Domestic violent extremists are often motivated by a mix of ideologies and personal grievances. We have seen a growing threat from those who are motivated by racial animus, as well as those who ascribe to extremist anti-government and anti-authority ideologies.

House Republicans demanded in November that Cardona turn over all communications with NSBA, the DOJ, and the White House regarding the letter NSBA officials sent to Biden asking him for federal law enforcement assistance to possibly target parents as domestic terrorists.

A letter from Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee to Attorney General Merrick Garland revealed the lawmakers had received documents from a whistleblower that stated the FBI was using counterterrorism tactics to investigate parents considered to be potential “domestic terrorists” at school board meetings.

In an egregious abuse of power, President Biden’s Department of Justice is using FBI criminal and counterterrorism resources to target parents.

In December, the 11 Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee demanded Garland withdraw his October 4 memo that ordered the FBI to investigate parents who voiced concerns at school board meetings in their districts.

Garcia had informed state association executive directors in an internal memo that a meeting had taken place with the White House on September 14, two weeks before the NSBA officials sent their letter to Biden.

“NSBA has been actively engaged with the White House, Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Education, Surgeon General, and other federal agencies,” she wrote.

On September 30, NSBA tweeted a now-deleted post that read:

We sent a letter to President Biden this morning asking for federal assistance to stop threats and acts of violence against public schoolchildren, public school board members, and other public school district officials and educators: https://nsba.org/404?item=%2fnews%2f2021%2ffederal-assistance-letter&user=extranet%5cAnonymous&site=website

NSBA’s website has since been scrubbed. Its letter to Biden read:

NSBA believes immediate assistance is required to protect our students, school board members, and educators who are susceptible to acts of violence affecting interstate commerce because of threats to their districts, families, and personal safety … Coupled with attacks against school board members and educators for approving policies for masks to protect the health and safety of students and school employees, many public school officials are also facing physical threats because of propaganda purporting the false inclusion of critical race theory within classroom instruction and curricula.

“This propaganda continues despite the fact that critical race theory is not taught in public schools and remains a complex law school and graduate school subject well beyond the scope of a K-12 class,” NSBA asserted, one month after the United States Conference of Mayors adopted a resolution during its annual convention in which its members pledged to support the teaching of CRT in K-12 schools.

The letter, signed by Garcia and Slaven, also asked Biden to issue an executive order that would serve to protect school officials and school board members from parents by reviewing “appropriate enforceable actions against these crimes and acts of violence under the Gun-Free School Zones Act, the PATRIOT Act in regards to domestic terrorism, the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, the Violent Interference with Federally Protected Rights statute, the Conspiracy Against Rights statute.”

According to Education Week, Slaven responded to a question about whether his group thought local law enforcement intervention was insufficient to address situations that arose in the districts, by stating, “These incidents are beyond random acts. What we are now seeing is a pattern of threats and violence occurring across state lines and via online platforms, which is why we need the federal government’s assistance.”

On October 13, two weeks after the NSBA officials sent their letter to Biden, the Education Department announced it had appointed Garcia to the National Assessment Governing Board, a top position that provides oversight regarding which subjects students will be tested on in the National Assessment of Educational Progress, also known as the Nation’s Report Card.

Garland’s office announced October 4 a memorandum would be widely shared throughout DOJ the attorney general was ordering all U.S. Attorney Offices and local FBI offices to reach out to local and state law enforcement officials to coordinate efforts on the “disturbing trend” of threats by parents as described by NSBA within 30 days of the memorandum.

The January 6 Select Committee has subpoenaed Nick Fuentes, the leader of the “Groyper” movement, and fellow streamer Patrick Casey, over their attendance at Stop the Steal rallies, and cryptocurrency donations received by both men from the same source.

On Wednesday, the House’s January 6 Select Committee announced that they had sent subpoenas to both Fuentes and Casey, who they identified as “leaders of the ‘America First’ or ‘Groyper’ movement,” demanding that they hand over records relating to the protests on Capitol Hill last year, and that they both produce testimony to Congress.

In the letters, the committee notes that both Fuentes and Casey attended numerous Stop the Steal rallies following the November 2020 election, and that they each received tens of thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency from a “French computer programmer” in December 2020, something that the FBI is “reportedly scrutinizing to assess whether the money was linked to the Capitol attack or otherwise used to fund illegal acts.”

The Select Committee has issued subpoenas to Nicholas J. Fuentes and Patrick Casey.

The subpoenas follow the rejection of Fuentes and Casey from previously co-operating with the committee. Speaking on his nightly show America First on Wednesday, Fuentes described the committee as being a “witch hunt,” saying that they should instead be investigating “that the election was stolen on November 3.”

Fuentes slammed the committee as being designed to chill free speech and scare people like him “into submission,” along with draining time, resources, and energy, from the America First movement.

“I’m exercising my First Amendment right.”

Casey echoed his comments the same evening, saying the committee functioned “as nothing more than a fishing expedition… [and] a partisan attempt to do whatever is possible to damage Trump, to damage his supporters, and his allies. It is a new form of an agenda that has existed in one form or another since Donald Trump initially came down that escalator and announced his bid for the presidency.”

Fuentes, who leads the “Groyper” movement, and Casey publicly split last year over disagreements with how to continue their movement post-January 6. Both Fuentes and Casey therefore highlighted the fact that it was strange that the committee had lumped their subpoena announcements together.

Do you take the January 6 commitee seriously?

The subpoenas of the streamers follows the arrest of Stewart Rhodes, leader of the Oath Keepers, and his charges of seditious conspiracy, with the federal investigation shifting towards unsubstantiated claims that the Capitol protest was an organised, targeted insurrection.

“Nowhere in [the subpoena letter] is there any criminal activity,” Fuentes argued. “What they’re alleging is that there was an organized effort to overthrow the government,” he continued, adding that “what we see in this letter is indicative of the rest of this investigation, which is that there is no evidence that that occurred.”

“If there was some big conspiracy, I wasn’t privy to it, and I would bet money that there wasn’t,” Casey said on Wednesday, noting that “promoting unsubstantiated claims is not a crime.”

Rather than being beaten down, Fuentes seemed emboldened by the subpoena. “That I’m subpoenaed by the US Congress at the age of 23, I think it just gives me credibility. I don’t know about you… but I see a subpoena from the US Congress and I take great pride in this,” he argued.

“If it wasn’t for the overt, explicit, over the top political persecution, nobody would have any reason to say my name and bring attention to the message… Whenever they do these things, they’re just turning me into an international political figure… It just goes to show, we’re the only truly principled opposition to the system. We reject it completely.”

REPORT: Peter Daszak Worked For CIA, EcoHealth Alliance Is A ‘CIA Front Organization’

Published

report:-peter-daszak-worked-for-cia,-ecohealth-alliance-is-a-‘cia-front-organization’

News

 By Andrew White

 January 20, 2022 at 1:50pm

EcoHealth Alliance Associate Vice President Dr. Andrew Huff recently claimed that EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak, who conducted gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, told him he was working for the Central Intelligence Agency.

Dr. Andrew Huff, PhD, MS, publicly stated on January 12 that EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak confessed to him that he was working for the Central Intelligence Agency, and further stated his belief that EcoHealth Alliance was a “CIA front organization.”

Huff received his Ph.D. in Environmental Health specializing in emerging diseases before becoming an Associate Vice President at EcoHealth Alliance, according to report by independent journalist Kanekoa, who detailed the ordeal on his Substack newsletter.

While working with the global scientific nonprofit, he was tasked with developing “novel methods of bio-surveillance, data analytics, and visualization for disease detection.”

EcoHealth Alliance, headed by Daszak, and financed by several US government agencies, partnered with Dr. Ralph Baric of the University of North Carolina and Dr. Shi Zhengli of the Wuhan Institute of Virology to conduct gain-of-function research on bat-borne coronaviruses in Communist China prior to the initial outbreak of COVID-19.

Daszak reportedly oversaw the screening of “thousands of bat samples for novel coronaviruses.” The controversial research also involved “screening people who work with live animals.”

The revelations added fuel to concerns that coronavirus pandemic originated from that very lab, which Daszak aggressively maintains is not true.

Through a series of tweets posted on January 12, Huff wrote:

For the Record: In 2015, Dr. Peter Daszak stopped me as we were leaving work late at night, and asked me if he should work with the CIA. I was shocked given my experience in security. Over the next 2 months he gave me updates on 3 separate occasions about his work with the CIA.

Was Dazsak working for the CIA?

When he asked me the question I stated “Peter, it never hurts to talk with them and there could potentially be money in it.” Meanwhile, I was cringing that he told me this, in a non classified setting (a SCIF), to a person that was not “read-in,” and to a uncleared person (me).

Then, over the next two months at the break area while getting coffee, or between meetings, he stated that they were interested in the places that we were working, the people involved, the data that we were collecting, and that the work with them was proceeding.

Then, Huff detailed his belief that Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance was a “CIA front organization.” The statement continued:

Looking back, I now believe that EcoHealth Alliance was a CIA front organization to collect viral samples and to collect intelligence on foreign laboratory capacity. There was no way that the data collected or the models being developed, could predict transmission or pandemics.

Contextually, EcoHealth was barely solvent and it was common place to lay off employees with the ebb and flow of federal and private funding. Peter would do anything or say anything to obtain funding. Intelligence organizations often target people in financial distress.

From the CIA’s perspective, it was a great plan in my opinion, if what Dr. Peter Daszak said was true. Since it was common place for Peter to lie, I didn’t necessarily believe him when he told me. However…

Based on the past two months of the US government spending millions of dollars surveilling me and MTRX INC employees, including military aircraft, attempting to destroy my house, bugging everything in it, stealing my property, and hacking all my devices, I believe that the worst is likely true.

For the Record: In 2015, Dr. Peter Daszak stopped me as we were leaving work late at night, and asked me if he should work with the CIA. I was shocked given my experience in security. Over the next 2 months he gave me updates on 3 separate occasions about his work with the CIA.

— Andrew Huff, PhD, MS (@AGHuff) January 12, 2022

Prior to the public statement earlier that morning, Huff took to Twitter and claimed “members of the US Government IC community have been harassing me, broke into my house, stole hard drives, and installed electronic surveillance devices throughout my house.”

I’m back… We determined that members of the US Government IC community have been harassing me, broke into my house, stole hard drives, and installed electronic surveillance devices throughout my house. Filing against them in US Federal Court. Unreal. @RaviBatra @joerogan

— Andrew Huff, PhD, MS (@AGHuff) January 12, 2022

This, Huff said, suggests to him that Daszak was not lying to him when he apparently explained that he had been working for the CIA.

“EcoHealth Alliance is likely a CIA front organization. COVID-19 is the biggest intelligence failure since 9/11,” wrote Huff. “The coverup is the greatest in US History, far worse than the Iran-Contra scandal. The truth is coming out and I will testify this under oath.”

In a separate series of posts, Huff said that he “wouldn’t be surprised if the CIA/IC community orchestrated the COVID coverup acting as an intermediary between Fauci, Collins, Daszak, Baric, and many others. At best, it was the biggest criminal conspiracy in US history by bureaucrats or political appointees.”

Kamala Harris on Thursday laughed when she was confronted on Biden’s lie that he would “shut down the virus.”

During the 2020 presidential election, Joe Biden would tweet from his Delaware basement promising to shut down the virus.

I’m not going to shut down the country.

I’m not going to shut down the economy.

I’m going to shut down the virus.

There have been more Covid cases and Covid deaths in 2021 under Joe Biden’s watch.

We are now in 2022 and Covid is out of control.

Kamala cackled when “CBS Mornings” host Gayle King confronted her on Biden’s broken promises.

“Let’s talk about Covid because you all ran on, ‘We are going to get Covid under control, we are going to get this licked.’ As we sit here today, we’re going into year three still talking about Covid,’ Gayle King said to Kamala Harris.

“So it is not under control,” King continued. “So I’m wondering what is your strategy here? And have you come to the point that we have all got to figure out how to live with Covid?”

“So I’m going to try to unpack the various important points that you make,” Harris said cackling. “But they’re important points.”
