First look at the ‘Chenille’ colorway.

For those that just can’t get enough of the Air Jordan 1 High, there’s yet another release on the horizon.

Today, zSneakerheadz has provided early details on the forthcoming Jordan 1 High colorway along with sharing retail photos of the shoe in pre0school sizing. The style is somewhat similar to the pair from last year’s “New Beginnings” pack featuring a two-tone white and red upper but this time, there are grey accents on the ankle collar and the Wings logo. Unlike standard Jordan 1 releases, the shoe also features a hairy suede Swoosh on the sides. Rounding out the look is a sail-colored midsole and red outsole.

According to @zSneakerheadz, this Air Jordan 1 High will be released on Feb. 4, 2022. Stick with Sole Collector for updates in the coming months.

In the past few years, Nike has pushed aside the Air Force 1 Mid in favor of the Low. But this year, that seems to be changing for the better, as the silhouette has planned collaborations with both Stussy and even Off-White. GRs, too, are propping up more frequently; and following the announcement of the “Independence Day” colorway’s return is yet another jewel Swoosh adorned pair.

Gone are the USA-inspired hues, though. In their place you’ll find a series of Autumnal hues, some cast in a metallic finish. These can be found across the toe, heel, and strap, all of which give off a somewhat bronze-like hue. As for the aforementioned check, it opts for a brighter orange, matching that of the branding at the vamp, tongue, and fastener. White tumbled leathers, then, dress the rest of the upper, while “Sail” gives the midsole a more vintage feel. What’s more, the inside label features a playful comic, which depicts two anthropomorphic Swoosh in conversation. Below, the quote states the following: “Inside out or outside in, as long as you’re right within.”

For a closer look at this upcoming Air Force 1 Mid, see the official images below. A release date is currently TBD, so sit tight for further details.

Acid Wash Denim And Camo Prints Dress This Alternate Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 Colorway

While their 2021 collaborations may have started with Egyptian ideas yet again, Concepts quickly grew more interesting with each release, drawing references to otoro, silent films, and even the Kiwi Queen. 2022 builds off this momentum, as the boutique has prepared not just one but two different Rock and Roll inspired Nike Air Max 1s.

Next to its earlier-revealed counterpart, this pair is far lighter on the bandana print; it still, however, features fashion staples signature to the music genre. Acid wash denim, for example, marks much of the upper, its panels accented atop with Swooshes akin to floral and color-heavy patches. A faux fur, cow-patterned panel dresses the vamp, proffering a gaudy ’80s feel that effectively plays off the corduroy hits, graphic-adorned collar, and additional velvet laces. The camo-adorned mudguard opts for a somewhat modified tiger stripe, which is fitting as the Vietnam war began soon after rock and roll’s recorded origin.

For a closer look at this colorway, see the available images below. Once a release date has been announced, expect to find the details right here.

1997’s Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Independence Day” Returns In 2022

Hate ’em or love’ em, the Air Force 1 Mid will always have its place in the annals of sneaker history. Long viewed as the proverbial middle child of Air Force 1s, the Mid had to do extra work just to keep its esteem from the more well-received Low and High. Still, there are plenty of Mid-tops in history that deserve its spotlight, and few can stand up to 1997’s Air Force 1 Mid “Independence Day”.

The colors and materials used were a true sign of the times; American sport fashion was a streetwear trend, while pearlized leather was the darling material used by competing brands to give their footwear added “umph” for the streets. Few stood out like the Air Force 1 Mid CI, which featured that matte-yet-gloss leather on the upper, tumbled white leather, a Jewel Swoosh, and an opaque outsole. Nike plans on bringing these back for 2022 as part of the influential sneaker’s 40th Anniversary celebration, and we figure these are just one of several classics that will make their way back to the shelves.

See the official images ahead and stay tuned for an official release date.
