Report: Tua Tagovailoa’s future with Miami Dolphins in question

Published

on

The Miami Dolphins placed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve Saturday with a rib injury, meaning he is out for a minimum of three games, starting with today’s contest at the Las Vegas Raiders.

With many questioning the team’s commitment to him after last season, talk is only going to heat up, especially with a trade for Deshaun Watson being a possibility.

In a published report Sunday morning, CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora detailed the situation going on with the Dolphins that dates back to the 2020 NFL Draft.

La Canfora says coach Brian Flores and GM Chris Grier were at a disagreement on who to select.

“Numerous personnel men and coaches around the league have heard, dating back to last season, that Flores would have preferred to select Justin Herbert over Tagovailoa, although team and league sources say general manager Chris Grier consults with Flores on all big personnel moves and in general tries to provide the personnel the coaches covet,” La Canfora wrote.

“Regardless, Flores was quick to hook Tagovailoa from games his rookie season, injuries have been a problem for the passer since his time at Alabama, and the Dolphins have done considerable work on Watson, with owner Stephen Ross quite intrigued by the quarterback, sources said.”

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.  As more and more fans pack NFL stadiums across the country thanks to lessened COVID-19 restrictions, America seems to be embracing the return of parking lot tailgates, and, yes, “rowdy fans.”

However, it seems a South Florida team’s fanbase is lacking in that department.

According to a new survey by Bookies, Miami Dolphins fans rank as the least rowdy fan base in football.
