2 Woman Arrested For Smuggling Fentanyl in Vaginal Cavities at El Paso Border Crossing
El Paso, TX: Customs and Border Protection officers at the Paso Del Norte bridge successfully intercepted three separate drug smuggling attempts within two days, resulting in the seizure of 37 pounds of fentanyl.
CBP officers made a significant discovery on Monday when they found a substantial amount of fentanyl concealed within a vehicle’s spare tire. The total weight of the illicit substance was 36.64 pounds.
A 20-year-old American woman was driving the vehicle into the country. CBP officers made a significant discovery on Tuesday when they found two bundles of fentanyl, weighing .29 pounds, concealed in the vaginal cavity of a 45-year-old American woman.
Shortly after, CBP officers made another discovery: a third bundle weighing .16 pounds concealed within the vaginal cavity of a 26-year-old American woman.
Both women attempted to cross the international bridge on foot. The three women were handed over to Homeland Security Investigations and/or Texas Department of Public Safety agents for prosecution.
