2 Arrested For Using Fake Identities To Buy Baby Formula in Irvine
Two suspects made a fraudulent purchase of almost $3,000 worth of infant formula at the Target store at the Spectrum in Irvine on the evening of December 27 using information taken from stolen state benefit accounts.
The two had the victim’s information entered into their cards. The pair may have used such strategies to make purchases at other establishments, according to police investigations.
Burglary, forgery, organized retail theft, and drug offenses are among the many allegations that are charged against the suspects. The authorities have arrested the suspects and the identities of the arrested individuals have been made public.
Christopher David Szabo, 52, and Cheryl Daveen Wipf, 57 were arrested and detained in Orange County Jail. Both of them are from Huntington Beach.
