Hamilton County, TN-
2 women have been arrested by authorities following the discovery of nearly a pound and a half of methamphetamine at a Chattanooga house.
Authorities have charged two women in Hamilton County as per Fox-17 News.
According to a release from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), the home on the 3600 block of 3rd Avenue was the scene of a search warrant execution on Monday, when officers executed the search warrant with the assistance of a Chattanooga Police SWAT squad.
A search yielded “approximately 1.4 pounds of methamphetamine, a small amount of fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and $544 in cash,” according to the press release.
According to detectives, the meth has a street worth of almost $51,000.
Meth possession for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia are the charges that police have brought against Regina Lorene Goins, 58, and Tonya Goins, 43.
HCSO was unable to confirm whether the two women—who have the same last name—are connected when we asked.
As the investigation progresses, additional charges are expected for Regina Goins, who was also jailed for possessing fentanyl, according to the announcement.
