19 Arrested in a Major Drug Bust in Nebraska

Lincoln, Nebraska: Dozens of individuals were apprehended in a major operation that commenced on Monday and extended into Tuesday. The arrests were made in connection with charges related to drug trafficking and possession of firearms.

Subjects were apprehended in various communities across the state, including Lincoln, Kearney, Ogallala, North Platte, McCook, Brule, Sutherland, and others. 19 individuals have been arrested and are now facing federal charges related to the possession, distribution, and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, along with some weapons violations.

Special Agent Eugene Kowel from the FBI Omaha revealed that 10 individuals who were arrested are now facing state drug trafficking charges.

”We are here today because of the work of our state and local partners. More than 150 police officers, sheriff’s deputies, state troopers, and federal agents participated in the enforcement action today representing over 20 law enforcement agencies here in Nebraska. Throughout the course of the investigation, we made 55 arrests, obtained over 34 federal indictments, and seized illegal narcotics and firearms,” said Special Agent Kowel.

The authorities have not released the identities of the arrested individuals and other details of the operation are also not revealed.
