15-year-old Stabbed Mother in Mississippi; Mom was Asleep when Daughter Started Vicious Stabbing; Arrested by Cops
A young girl from Mississippi is currently being held in an adult lockup facility for the alleged attempted murder of her mother. This violent attack seems to have been influenced by a set of occult beliefs.
A 15-year-old named Lexi Jade Brown has been charged with attempted murder and arson in the first degree, as announced by the Gulfport Police Department in a press release on Monday.
According to the police department, the incident took place in the early morning hours of June 14. Authorities were alerted to a reported cutting incident at a residence on Dee Avenue, located in a remote area of Gulfport near a sprawling wooded region.
Officers responded to a residence on Dee Avenue in the early hours of the morning and discovered an individual who had sustained several stab wounds.
According to investigators, the mother stated that she was asleep when the incident occurred. She was startled awake to discover her daughter allegedly wielding a knife and attacking her. According to reports, the mother claimed that after defending herself against the young girl, her daughter allegedly attempted to ignite a fire within the house.
The girl’s mother was taken to a nearby hospital for recovery. The details of her injuries have not been made public at this time.
Authorities report that the suspect willingly provided information regarding the heinous offense.
During questioning, Brown reportedly openly confessed to authorities that she had been plotting to harm her mother for a considerable period, as she held the belief that the older woman had peculiar tendencies.
