A Massachusetts high school girl who was subjected to a violent assault and degrading act has been located unharmed following her brief disappearance. The distressing incident gained widespread attention after it was shared on the internet.
A video capturing a distressing incident involving Aliyah Konton, a 15-year-old student at Mashpee High School on Cape Cod, gained widespread attention on Snapchat. The incident was recorded and shared by a friend of the perpetrator.
According to a classmate, Konton had recently relocated to Mashpee and was attempting to assimilate.
Authorities were made aware of the video when a school resource officer discovered it on May 25. However, parents were not informed about the incident until Konton went missing on June 2, a week later.
In the video, Konton is seen standing in a school hallway while her 13-year-old attacker confronts her, with a crowd of students observing the situation. After slapping Konton, the bully is escorted away by another student as per The Post.
In the video, the scene shifts to the school bathroom, where the person in question enters while forcefully pulling Konton by her hair, causing her to scream.

Konton is overwhelmed with emotion as she is forcefully thrown by her hair near the bathroom stalls and subjected to a series of punches by the bully. The teenager defensively raises an arm to ward off the attacks, displaying restraint by not retaliating.
The bully gestures towards the area next to a garbage can and ordered her, “Lick the ground.”
She sternly commands her to comply, delivering a swift slap when Konton hesitates, and forcefully guiding her down to the ground by her hair.
Authorities initiated a search for Konton a week after she went missing from her residence in Mashpee. It was during this time that her parents were informed about the brutal assault and its dissemination through a video on social media.
The residents of the small town came together to form search parties. Konton was finally seen in the vicinity of Barnstable last Wednesday and returned home.
A 13-year-old girl is currently facing seven counts of assault and battery in Falmouth District Court’s juvenile division.
Authorities stated on Wednesday that an ongoing investigation is being conducted into individuals who may have been involved as accomplices.
